Indoor chemical pollution is a fatal risk to human health

People spend 90% of their time indoors where chemical pollutant concentration (including carcinogens like formaldehyde, benzene, and toluene) is several times higher than outdoors and it’s getting worse over time.Indoor chemical pollution has been cited by the WHO and EPA as a serious health hazard affecting millions of people around the world. Indoor chemicals can be found in almost all homes and have been associated with both chronic and fatal health problems including asthma, leukemia, and heart disease. The most vulnerable populations tend to spend the most time indoors - these include:

  • Infants/children

  • Pregnant women

  • Elderly individuals

What Makes the Freshean Purifier Unique

Full-Spectrum Air Pollutant Coverage

The Freshean purifier is the first and only purifier to cover the complete range of indoor air pollutants, including both organic and inorganic chemicals, particulates, as well as odors.

Regeneratable Filters

Filters are fully reusable through a regeneration process, thus lowering costs which we pass to the consumer.

Environmentally Friendly

Our purifier emits zero harmful byproducts and produces zero filter waste.

Breakthrough in Material Science

Freshean's proprietary and highly original approach to nanomaterial innovation and engineering design is a breakthrough in the air purification industry. The technology is secured by a patent.

Super Compact

Measuring only 2.5 liters in volume, our purifier is easy to handle, move around the house, or even travel with.

Ultra Quiet

Can operate as quietly as 20 dB, the same noise level as rustling leaves.

Our Technology

The Freshean air purifier utilizes the latest innovations in materials science, nanoengineering design and nanofabrication techniques. The proprietary technology that our purifier uses is a sophisticated chemical process that involves embedding nanocatalysts into precisely engineered nano-modules. The modules have thousands of air flow channels for trapping chemicals, with a total internal surface area of over 18 footballs fields. The result is a powerhouse of a product.

Due to our patented technological advancements, Freshean has built the first purifier with the capability to removal virtually all harmful chemical substances and odors from an indoor air environment.

Performance has been rigorously tested by a third-party lab in Japan with exceptional results, showing that the Freshean purifier is truly a powerhouse of a product.

Research on Indoor Chemical Pollution

Common Toxic Indoor Chemical Pollutants and their Sources

Common indoor chemicals: formaldehyde, benzene, butadiene, toluene, xylene, acetone, phenol, PAHs, methylene chloride, tetrachloroethylene, chlorine, ammonia, propene, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, etc.

Common indoor chemical sources: building materials and furniture (sofas, mattresses, carpet, pressed wood cabinets, etc.), wallpaper, paint, gas stoves, fireplaces, auto engine and furnace exhaust, cigarette smoke, wood floors, foam insulation, plywood, adhesives, rubber, plastics, household items such as hair sprays, disinfectants, cleaning products, pesticides, air fresheners, nail polish, etc.

What Others Are Saying About Indoor Chemical Pollution

US EPA: “People exposed to toxic air pollutants at sufficient concentrations and durations may have an increased chance of getting cancer or experiencing other serious health effects. These health effects can include damage to the immune system, as well as neurological, reproductive (e.g., reduced fertility), developmental, respiratory and other health problems”.

International Agency for Research on Cancer: “Twenty-six scientists from 10 countries evaluated the available evidence on the carcinogenicity of formaldehyde, concluded that formaldehyde is carcinogenic to humans”. Formaldehyde, a widely used chemical, is often found in insulation foam, plastic, disinfectant and wood products with adhesives and binders, such as pressed wood kitchen cabinets.

WHO: “Hazardous substances emitted from buildings, construction materials and indoor equipment or due to human activities indoors, such as combustion of fuels for cooking or heating, lead to a broad range of health problems and may even be fatal”.

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory: "Of the 15 compounds identified in most homes, nine were identified as priority chronic hazards in U.S. residences: acetaldehyde, acrolein, benzene, 1,3-butadiene, 1,4-dichlorobenzene, formaldehyde, naphthalene, NO2, and PM2.5".

Health and Environment Alliance: "We are exposed to chemicals everywhere in our daily lives".

President’s Cancer Panel: "The true burden of environmentally induced cancer has been grossly underestimated. The public remains unaware of many common environmental carcinogens such as manufacturing and combustion by-products such as formaldehyde and benzene".
